Domingo Milella

Domingo Milella was born in 1981 in Bari, Italy and today spends his time between his hometown and New York. He studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York under the guidance of Stephen Shore. His works have been exhibited at the 54th Venice Biennale, the Rencontres de la Photographie in Arles, the FOAM Museum in Amsterdam, the MACRO Museum in Rome, the Brancolini Grimaldi gallery in London and the Tracy Williams gallery in New York. His works are included in important national and international collections, including the Margulies Collection in Miami and the Borusan Contemporary in Istanbul. His solo exhibitions include: solo show at Grimaldi Gavin (London, 2015), at Tracy Williams Ltd (New York, 2014), at Brancolini Grimaldi (London, 2012) and the exhibition Orli Estremi di Siamo Età Sepolta, curated by 3 /3 at Palazzo Coiro (Castelmezzano, 2011). Among the group exhibitions in which the artist has participated: The forms of time at the Centro Arti Visive Pescheria (Pesaro, 2019), Italy Inside Out at the Palazzo della Regione (Milan, 2015), Esprit Mediterranéen at the Pinoteca di Bari (2011), Young research photography in Puglia at the Pino Pascali Museum Foundation (Bari, 2011). In 2014 he published his first book with Steidl, Domingo Milella, and in 2015 he was one of the curators of the Tempo al Tempo exhibition at the Roman Road Gallery (London).
